Our
Story
Get to Know Us
We are a global organization committed to empowering people with disabilities and promoting inclusivity across all societies. Today, over one billion people—approximately 15% of the world's population—live with some form of disability, with higher prevalence rates in developing countries (World Bank, 2019).
Our work acknowledges the diverse causes and impacts of disabilities, which are influenced by varying socio-economic conditions and government policies worldwide. We are focused on driving change by addressing the barriers that hinder progress, such as lack of awareness, social stigma, and inadequate policy implementation. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to fostering a more inclusive world where every person with a disability has the opportunity to thrive and contribute fully to their communities.

What We Do
At Special Friends, we are dedicated to integrating children with diverse abilities into mainstream school environments. Since 2013, we have offered free care, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring to these children, many of whom come from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Our center has served as a supportive haven for these families, providing essential care and resources. Our focus is on equipping children with the skills they need to become employable and thrive in their communities. Through our programs, we strive to offer not only basic care but also the tools and opportunities that foster growth, independence, and success.
